Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Lysto implements multiple layers of security to protect unreleased builds during playtests.
Players cannot access your build until they have signed a legally enforceable NDA. Builds are encrypted end-to-end and accessible only to verified testers who have cleared NDA consent and identity checks. Build access ends the moment the test concludes through a remote kill switch, automatically and remotely. The build cannot be opened outside the Lysto app and becomes completely inaccessible after the session.
Our platform also detects any unauthorized screenshots or capture attempts, traces it to the tester's identity, and instantly flags the user. All gameplay recordings are also automatically deleted from the player's device once the session concludes.
Every event from NDA sign-in to gameplay submission is logged, timestamped, and completely auditable. These activity trails can be shared with studios on request. Lysto locks down every layer of your playtest, from infrastructure and permissions, to distribution, so teams can run research at speed without compromising build security.
Yes. Lysto supports playtesting across PC and mobile platforms (Android and iOS). Console playtesting is currently limited and requires direct coordination with our team.
Our platform allows you to define device and OS requirements as part of your targeting criteria, ensuring playtesters have the right hardware to provide meaningful feedback.
If your studio needs console playtesting support, please get in touch with your Games Partnership Manager or contact us directly at contact@lysto.io.
Lysto AI transforms raw gameplay footage and player feedback into structured summaries, intelligent tags, and timestamped insights, allowing teams to understand what players experienced without watching hours of recordings.
Each individual session and the entire playtest is structured into clear sections covering comprehension, friction, flow, challenge, UX cues, and other experience markers specific to your game. The AI automatically tags confusion bursts, hesitation, retries, frustration spikes, delight, and "aha" moments, highlighting exactly where to focus. Every insight is linked to an exact timestamp, letting you jump straight to the moment a player said or did something important.
All gameplay recordings are organized in your dashboard, grouped by session, and made available for review alongside AI-generated summaries, transcripts and research reports. The result is faster understanding, clearer decisions, and stronger playtests built to support product managers, designers, user researchers, and producers.
Lysto's AI structures and analyzes each individual gameplay session instantly as soon as the playtester completes it. This means you can start reviewing player-level insights, tagged moments, and timestamped summaries immediately after each session ends, without waiting for the entire study to complete.
When the full playtest concludes, the AI analyzes and structures the entire playtest as a whole. This group-level analysis surfaces patterns across all sessions, identifies systemic issues versus isolated incidents, and shows where confusion or engagement spiked across the majority of players.
Our platform is designed for speed, enabling studios to iterate faster and build games that align with what players actually want.
